Our Origin Story
How Dragonfly Fit Was Born
A Mother's Quest for Community
Dragonfly Fit & Social Club began with one mother seeking the right community for her son. Elsie is a devoted advocate for children with facial differences. Her son, Randy, is an adaptive athlete living with Apert syndrome—a rare genetic condition characterized by fused skull sutures and fused digits.
Elsie and Randy began training with Coach Mig at Praise Athletics, where they found inclusion, encouragement, and belonging. That single connection sparked a bigger question:
The Spark That Started It All
From that spark, Dragonfly Fit & Social Club was created—a nonprofit-driven fitness community where athletes like Randy and families like Elsie's are welcomed, supported, and celebrated.
What began in a gym-family circle now lives in a bigger movement of empowerment, transformation, and unity.
